How many times do you hear the phrase “I’m bored” in the run of a day? I’m not quite there yet since my kids are only 3 and 1 so when mine get bored, they just get really whiny. Equally as annoying and frustrating! How kids can get bored these days, I’ll never know. I have been really into doing collabs lately (like this one) with the YouTube Mommy Meetup group so when Debbie from The Kohn Tribe offered to host a Boredom Busters collab, I was all over it!
The Dollar Store is my jam when it comes to kid’s activities. Why? Because ain’t nobody got time for crazy kids breaking things that you’ve spent your hard earned money on. Amirite? They’re just going to break it, rip it, ruin it, or eat it anyway so why throw away any more money than you have to.

It became very obvious when filming this video that kids are so perceptive! Did you watch all the way to the extras at the end of the video? I had no idea that Ben pays enough attention to know what I am say at the end of every video! Also, whenever I pull out the camera he automatically waves and says “Hi Guys!” What a kid. It’s either he’s paying a lot of attention or I’m doing an awful lot of takes when I’m filming each video. It could be either one of those things, if I’m being honest! Sometimes the most fun part of making YouTube videos is going over the footage when I’m all done filming and editing everything together. When the kids are around, there’s always at least something funny to add in at the end!
Do you have any go to games, toys, or activities that you pull out when the boredom sets in?
