I used to be an avid user of store bought disinfecting wipes when cleaning my house. I always had a container on my kitchen counter and in the bathroom and used them many times throughout the day. When I got pregnant, I had a really hard time dealing with the strong smell of them. I tried a few different brands but couldn’t find anything mild enough and it was around that same time that I was starting to be concerned about the chemicals I was using to clean my house. I loved the convenience of them and hated to let them go.
Fast forward to when I found Shaklee and a safe alternative to disinfecting the surfaces in my home. I’ve seen a few DIY disinfecting wipes tutorials on Pinterest so I thought that I would make my own, with one of my favorite products! It’s really easy too!
- Cut a roll of paper towel in half with a long knife. A bread knife works really well for this!
- Put half a roll into a plastic container, mix 1 tsp of Basic G to 2 cups of water and pour the mixture over the roll. Snap on the lid and flip the container upside-down to make sure the whole roll is saturated. Leave it for an hour or so and it will all soak in.
- The cardboard tube should be very easy to remove from the center now that it’s been soaking for a while so pull it out and find the end of the paper towel to start your roll from the middle!
That’s it! It’s quick, simple and really works to disinfect without the strong smells and harmful chemicals. You can get the whole Shaklee Get Clean line here! All sales from my shop help support my family and allow me to work from home!
