Here’s yet another food hack that I’ve tried and tweaked to make a favorite condiment be a little healthier for you, but still taste great! I found this recipe from AllRecipes and followed it for the most part, but added modified it for my own tastes. It was really quick and easy to do so I’ll definitely make it again! Here’s the recipe!
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 1 1/2 tsp vinegar
- pinch of dill, garlic powder and onion powder to taste
I put everything in a bowl and mixed it with my immersion blender but if your avocado is soft enough you could just use a fork to mix it well. It tasted great and next time I make it I’m going to try to substitute out the mayo for something a bit healthier. Greek yogurt perhaps! I’ll let you know how my experiments go!
