I’ve posted before about my skills in the kitchen … or lack thereof. I made a big ol’ pot of chili yesterday and since it turned out so damn scrumptious, I thought I’d share!
Like everything I cook, I followed no recipe and just made it up as I went along. I had a little snaffu while creating the photo, and let’s face it, I’m too lazy for a redo so keep in mind that the second to last picture is supposed to say “Sauce & Spices” but the spices part got cut off. So yeah, I did add some spices in there! Chili powder being the main one obviously! Also, I forgot to take a picture when I added in the cooked ground beef, so picture that in there too!
In terms of cooking time, once I threw everything in the pot, I just turned up the heat to a little over medium, and stirred occasionally for about 2 hours. I’m sure it doesn’t need to be done for that long, but I was doing things around the house and I like my veggies soft. I found it got a little “dry” for my liking so I added some beef broth to make it more liquidy. But that’s just my personal preference!
