I was feeling rather crafty yesterday and decided to personalize Ben’s room a little bit. I remember as a kid, I had a sign on my door with my name on it and I had wall art with my name as well. I haven’t done any of that for Ben yet so I thought that it was about time I did!!
Supplies are very easy to find and were all purchased at Michael’s. I got pre-cut letters and a plaque, foam brushes, craft paint, and glue, all for around $10.
Apply enough coats of paint to create an even finish and allow to dry fully, then glue the letters onto the sign! Voila! A quick and easy personalized sign for Ben’s bedroom door. It was so quick that I was actually able to do it while he was napping! The plaque that I bought had a pre-drilled hole in the back for hanging so that made mounting it on his door much easier.
I chose colours that coordinate with the rest of my decor because I’m boring like that. After I finished this one, I thought it might be a cute idea to make one that says BATH on it for the bathroom, or you could also paint it with chalkboard paint so your child could write “Keep Out!” during those moody teenage years. Just a thought!
