We’ve been in our current home for 2 years now and while there are many things that I love about it, there are also lots of things that I wish I could change. The house was built in 1956 and there are still a few things that are original. The bathtub in our main bathroom (and the lack of a tub in our downstairs bathroom) and the kitchen countertop to name two. Although those 2 spaces in the house have been on our list for renovations, it’s not always possible for them to be done right away which is why we’re still living with them 2 years on.
Thankfully there are lots of things that you can do to make those things more livable so you can really love your home for the time being. If you need a little guidance and suggestions on what can help you to love your current home, a fellow blogger has a great guide and workbook to help called Love Your Space Action Steps Workbook . There are some really useful and cost effective tips in it that I think that are worth a look if your home is leaving you a little uninspired.
I like that Gabby helps you figure out what it is about your living space that you want to change and helps you create the steps and plan to get things to a space that you can really love. She guides you through decluttering and creating a master cleaning list based on the areas of your home that need it so that you can be happier with the home you’re living in. She also helps you come up with a budget for a few things that you may want to pick up to help jazz things up a bit without breaking the bank. I really appreciate that because sometimes you do need to treat yourself a bit when you’re able to. Sometimes thing like that can give an old space some new light.
The Love Your Space Workbook is 30 pages long and includes 19 pages of worksheets to help you really personalize a plan for yourself and your home so that you can get moving on making your current abode the best that you can with the time and money that you have. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s so nice to have a plan that you can put into action so that you can see small differences day after day that make a big change over time so you can truly love your home.
If you’re interested, you can get the workbook at a lower price of $12.99 for this week only. Use the promo code MMJLOVEIT. After that the price will go up to $25 so it’s a good idea to grab it early! Full disclosure here, if you do decide to grab a copy of the workbook and you use a link in this post, I’ll get a little kickback as a thank you for sending you there. Let me know if you get it and tell me how you like it! I’ve found it really helpful because it gives you ideas and a plan that isn’t overwhelming or expensive to do.
How do you make your home a better space to be in?
