One of my favorite parts of this holiday is sitting in the quiet on Christmas Day with the tree lit, cup of tea in hand, and being thankful for all of the blessings and people in our lives. We are so, so lucky. I’m always aware of how lucky we are but it just seems more obvious right now.
Ben didn’t understand what was going on but he did understand that we were excited so that made him excited! His happy little smile and infectious giggle filled my house and my heart all week long!
He woke up at 5:50am and that was ok with me! He had a great time ripping wrapping paper and trying to eat it. He also enjoyed playing with the boxes that his toys came in, even though I told him how cliche that was. He enjoyed spending time with both sets of grandparents, his aunties and his Uncle Joe who gave this spoiled boy his own tablet! Speaking of which, I’d love some recommendations on a sturdy and baby proof case that I can get for it before I hand it over to him! It’s a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, if that helps!
Ben isn’t the only spoiled one in this house. Nick gave me some beautiful jewelry, I got clothes, books, and kitchen gadgets. And I got to experience being a mother at Christmas for the very first time. There’s something about making magic for someone else that creates all new magic inside yourself!
