There seems to be a huge “pay it forward” movement going on lately, at least around where I live. The whole ethos is to perform random acts of kindness for people without expecting a returned favour. My home town was actually featured on CBC News recently because of the Pay It Forward Saint John movement started by my high school vice principal, Michael Whelton. Here’s the news clip! You can also hear an interview with Michael that was posted on CBC.ca today here.
Here are a few quick things that you can do to pay it forward in the blogosphere:
- Leave encouraging and meaningful comments on posts that really resonate with you.
- Follow, like, pin, or +1 people or content that you like and really would like to share.
- Sponsor blogs not because you want exposure yourself, but because you want to support and encourage the blogger.
- Retweet for your fellow bloggers.
What are some other ways that you have been Paying It Forward, either online or at home?
